Beneath the mountains of North India, there lies the ancient village of Malana situated in the state of Himachal Pradesh which is still in the 21st Century isolated from the outer world in all the aspects.
There is a mixed History of Myths that evolved around the Village. One of them says they are the Descendants of Alexander-the great army, some of which stayed in the village after Alexander left India. Came from Greece, they were the pure Aryans, and still they deficit the Indians as of inferior race of non-Aryans.
The village is also known as one of the oldest Democracies, but still they function some orthodox practices. Their language is also very different and only the locals can understand.
But due to the growth of a specific breed of Marijuana, the village is world-famous for its locally known as Malana Cream, a resin product of the Marijuana plant known as Hashish or Charas. Their main source of income is the trade of the Malana Cream, which has a huge value in the International market as well as to the tourists who visit. The place is abundant with Israelis who visit here for peace after their compulsory Military course.
The belief that the villagers are Pure Aryans, so is Israelis makes the source of conflict with the Indians. There is some kind of inferior treatment done to the Indian tourists when they visit the village, due to their racial theory. Indians are not allowed to enter/stay in the village at certain timings and not allowed to touch the walls of temples of the village. If one needs to buy something from a shop, they need to keep the cash on a certain side and the shopkeeper then keeps the product on that place- without touching them. This practice is very much similar to the Caste Discrimination that still predominates in some parts of India. There is a fine of around 2,500 if found violating or touching any of the above for Indians.
One instance was a viral story in Social Media, when an Indian woman was refused to serve Menu card but when the British Counterpart asked he was provided immediately in Free Kasol cafe'. But due to the outer pressure and sensitive case, the owner gave an excuse that he was not in a good mood, and these things never happen. Also due to the Rowdy attitude of some local travelers of Haryana & New Delhi the villagers are still in the fear that Due to these acts the tourism which the Israelis give doesn't perish. There are many instances in which the Young Boys under the influence of Alcohol, molested Israeli women, some rape cases have been reported too.
Some say due to the Racial difference the Indians are discriminated in the Village, while the others due to the Behaviour of Some Indian Mens against the Israelis have caused a cause of conflict amongst. The village is also known as mini- Israel and due to the cheap availability of accommodations and food with Hashish, it is known as paradise by many. Although the Indian Government has placed Cannabis under NDPS (Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance) Act, due to the only occupation of the Villagers and the main source of Income and Tourism it still replenishes.
